IV therapy at home in Bailup
We are a mobile clinical service, so your appointment takes place where you are, with the same assessment, equipment and care you would expect in a clinic. No treatment is chosen in advance: every visit starts with your health history and a conversation with a clinician, and we only go ahead if a treatment is considered suitable for you.
Safety at every visit
- Your visit is carried out by a registered nurse, who assesses you before any treatment is considered.
- We use sterile, single-use equipment, opened in front of you and disposed of safely afterwards.
- Your clinician stays with you for the whole infusion and monitors how you are feeling throughout.
- If you feel unwell at any point, tell your clinician straight away. They can slow or stop the infusion, assess you and, if needed, arrange further medical care.
Like any procedure involving a cannula, IV therapy carries some risks, such as bruising, discomfort at the insertion site or, less commonly, a reaction. Your clinician will talk these through with you before you decide whether to go ahead.
How a home visit in Bailup works
-
1
Book a consultation
Choose a time through our online booking system. Booking a consultation does not commit you to treatment.
-
2
Complete a health questionnaire
Before your visit we ask about your medical history, current medicines, allergies and any previous reactions.
-
3
Clinician assessment on arrival
Your clinician reviews your questionnaire with you, asks follow-up questions and checks your vital signs before anything else happens.
-
4
Treatment only if it is suitable
If IV therapy is appropriate for you, the clinician explains what is involved and asks for your consent. If it is not suitable, we will tell you why and may suggest you speak with your GP.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral?
Every client completes a health questionnaire and is assessed by a registered nurse before any treatment. In some cases we may ask you to check with your GP first.
Who isn't suitable for IV therapy?
IV therapy is not right for everyone. Some medical conditions, such as certain heart or kidney conditions, some medicines, pregnancy or breastfeeding may mean it isn't appropriate. Your nurse will discuss your health history with you and will not proceed if treatment is not suitable.
